Facilities

The Department has two main locations: Bologna and Cesena. However, teaching and research activities are also carried out in other facilities.

The organizational chart illustrates the geographical and disciplinary distribution of DISTAL's facilities. The two main sites are located in Bologna (Viale Fanin) and Cesena (Campus of Forlì). In addition to these, educational and experimental activities also take place in Cadriano, Ozzano, Imola, Faenza, and at the University Experimental Farm (AUB). Each site hosts specific undergraduate, graduate, and international degree programs, as well as the PhD program in Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science and Technology (STAAA). The chart highlights the integration between teaching and applied structures, such as laboratories (e.g., agricultural mechanics, food safety), greenhouses, experimental wineries, fields, and educational orchards. This setup reflects an interdisciplinary approach, strongly rooted in the agri-food and environmental sectors, in line with AVA3 standards on comprehensive education and advanced infrastructure.
