Award offered by the International Organization for Biological Control (IOBC Global) to selected young scholars giving presentations at the 15th IOBC-Mass Rearing and Quality Assurance Workshop

During the 15th IOBC-MRQA Workshop, held in Bologna (September 5-9), three “IOBC Student and Early Career Professional Awards” were offered to the following PhD students of DISTAL – Entomology area:

- Marco Malfacini (“Health, Safety and Green System” programme) , for the oral presentation “Updates and progress on the sterile insect technique against Aedes albopictus”

- Catia Martins (“Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science and Technology” programme) for the poster presentation “Importance of rearing alternative insect pollinators to improve environmental risk assessments”

- Diletta Missere (“Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science and Technology” programme) for the poster presentation “Pachycrepoideus vindemiae for biological control of Piophila casei in ham factories”.
