Reference libraries

The libraries to which the Department's professors, researchers and students refer are: the Library of Agriculture "Gabriele Goidanich" and the Central Library of the Cesena Campus – Food Sciences Section.

Library of Agriculture "Gabriele Goidanich" / Bologna

Professors, researchers and students of the Bologna seat of the Department can take advantage of the services of the "Gabriele Goidanich" Library, in operation since the academic year 2001/2002, in which the bibliographic resources of the previous faculty library and of several, pre-existing, departmental libraries converged.

The "Gabriele Goidanich" Library owns over one hundred thousand books and offers access to more than two thousand e-books. It also has a current subscription of about 270 periodicals, many of which in digital versions. In the library there are over a hundred reading places and a about ten computers for the public.

In addition to books loan and consultation, many services are available, including partial reproduction of modern books (in compliance with copyright rules), consultation of ancient books, interlibrary loan and document delivery.

Among the advanced services, the library offers the advice of expert staff for bibliographic research and the assistance and support to professors and researchers for the Open Access dissemination of scientific research.

The Library currently also has a branch in Imola, where basic services are provided for students and interested users.
