Travel Grant assigned to Gebremedhin Gebremical Gebremariam and Federico Drudi to participate at the 4th Workshop on Plasma applications for smart and sustainable agriculture

The final project meeting was hold from 20th to 22nd May in Belgrade, Serbia, where all the partners taking part in the plasma application for smart and sustainable agriculture (PLAGRI) cost action project discussed and presented their final results. The video, entitled “The use of Plasma Activated Water (PAW) on food decontamination” aimed at explaining the decontamination of apples from microorganisms with PAW. When the PAW comes into contact with the surface of the apples, its reactive species penetrate the microbial cells and disrupt their cell structures and metabolic processes. This leads to inactivation of the microorganisms on the surface of the apple.
