Program
This seminar will explore agriculture as an integrated system in which crops, farm animals, resources, and food production are closely interconnected. Using farm animals as a key example, the lecture will discuss how biological processes, feed resources, technology, and management practices interact to influence productivity, environmental impact, and food system sustainability. Particular attention will be given to trade-offs between efficiency, resource use, and resilience, highlighting the role of integrated agricultural approaches in addressing current and future challenges related to food security, environmental sustainability, and societal expectations.
