Agritwix: hands-on session with digital tools and smart irrigation strategies

Agritwix is a virtual reality (VR) teaching tool aimed at future agronomists, farmers and professionals in the agri-food sector, with a specific focus on sustainable water resource management. Through VR viewers or a desktop version, students will be able to immerse themselves in a virtual urban garden, where they will be responsible for taking care of a plant and deciding how much and when to irrigate, based on meteorological data. The aim of AgriTwix is to bridge the gap between theory and practice in teaching agronomy, overcoming the limitations imposed by time, space and seasonality, which often hinder direct experience in the field.
