There are 15 fully-funded PhD positions in bioeconomy under a Horizon Europe Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action project called DESTINY (DEsign and SusTainability Assessment of Innovative biomass production systems and value-chains in the BioecoNomY)

- The positions will be based at the European Bioeconomy University alliance members AgroParisTech, University of Bologna (Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna), University of Eastern Finland, University of Hohenheim, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and Wageningen University & Research

- Two positions will be available at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL) of the University of Bologna on the topics " DC3.1 - Development of modern systematic concepts for a sustainable and ethical intensification of agrifood chains (animal and plant products) in agreement to circular bioeconomy ideas” (supervisors: Massimiliano Petracci and Diana Di Gioia) and “DC6.1 - Develop a comparison of different governance approaches to bioeconomy systems based on countries involved in the project, in particular using Italy and Germany as case studies” (supervisor: Davide Viaggi)

- The duration of the PhD is 36 months (some 48 months)

- Important eligibility: you must not have resided or carried out your main activity (e.g. studies) in the country of application for more than 12 months in the past 36 months before recruitment

- Submission deadline: March 11th, 2024
