On May 27-28, 2025, the second General Assembly of the HEU BREADCRUMB project – BRinging Evidence-bAseD food Chain solutions to prevent and RedUce food waste related to Marketing standards, and deliver climate and circularity co-Benefits – will take place at the Porto Business School in Porto, Portugal. The project is funded under the Horizon Europe Framework Programme. The main objectives of BREADCRUMB is to understand the purpose and nature of food marketing standards and their impact on food waste generation, to design interventions that balance the goals of food waste reduction with other objectives of the standards, and to support agri-food chain actors in increasing the market potential of suboptimal foods. The main goal of the General Assembly is to review the progress of the activities carried out so far, engage in brainstorming sessions to plan future actions, and ensure alignment with the project’s objectives and requirements. The agenda includes partner presentations and discussions across different Work Packages.
