Our collegue, professor Francesco Orsini, is invited speaker and chair of the division on Landscape and urban horticulture during the II international symposium on Botanical gardens and landscapes (BGL 2025) in Meglun (China).
During a plenary session, Professor Orsini will talk about "Multifunctional agriculture in urban and periurban areas: technological and social innovation at work" (F. Orsini, G. Pennisi, M. D’Ostuni e G. Gianquinto), discussing priorities, technologies, and strategies for sustainable urban agriculture.
During the event, professor Orsini will also present other two posters:
- "Analysing Inspirational Urban Food Initiatives to Understand Place-Based and Participatory System Change" research realized by M. D'Ostuni, A. Sermarini, A. D'Aprile and F. Orsini.
- "Seven years of interdisciplinary education for sustainable urban landscapes: results from the international student competition UrbanFarm" research realized by F. Orsini, G. Pennisi, M. D'Ostuni, A. D'Aprile, R. Prandi, A. Sermarini, and G. Gianquinto.
These contributions underscore the Department’s strong commitment to advancing research and innovation in sustainable urban agriculture and landscape management, while promoting international collaboration and visibility within the scientific community.
