“ANBP award of excellence” to Catia Martins and Santolo Francati

Award offered by the Association of Natural Biocontrol Producers for a student/Post-Doc giving presentations at the 15th IOBC-Mass Rearing and Quality Assurance Workshop

During the 15th IOBC-MRQA Workshop, held in Bologna (September 5-9), two “Awards of Excellence”, in recognition for outstanding research in applied biological control, were offered by the Association of Natural Biocontrol Producers for best poster presentation by a student/Post-Doc.

The awardees, both belonging to DISTAL – Entomology area, were:

- Santolo Francati (Post-Doc – Entomology area) for the poster “Rearing of Aridelus rufotestaceus, a potential biocontrol agent of stinkbugs”

- Catia Martins (PhD student in “Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science and Technology”) for the poster “Importance of rearing alternative insect pollinators to improve environmental risk assessments”.
