Distal hosted a study trip for farmers organized by the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań (Poland)

The topic of the trip was "EU support as a driving force for agricultural development." This issue was addressed by the Network for Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas team

The participants of the organized study trip were farmers from Greater Poland who grow arable crops, and/or mixed production with animal farming, a representative of the operational group dealing with direct sales of their own products, the owner of an agritourism farm, representatives of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań, employees of the Experimental Station of the Central Center for Research on Cultivated Plant Varieties in Poznan. The trip was co-financed by the European Union under Scheme II of technical assistance of the National Rural Network of Rural Development Programs for 2014-2020. The whole trip lasted 5 days from the 15 to the 19 of September, 2024. The group visited the DISTAL campus in Bologna, the glasshouse facility, the experimental farm in Cadriano, and also the campus and the lab in Cesena. Additional visits included the LACME farm in Medicina, the seed company SIS in Idice and the frozed food company, OROGEL, in Cesena.
